Lartease joined IAB from Amazon, where he led the company`s public relations in the areas of advertising, privacy, security, data governance, cross-border traffic and consumer protection. In this role, he advised in-house legal and business partners on global public policy issues to support the development of products, services and internal policies. During his time at Amazon, INSIDER described him as one of the most important players in politics and technology.

Prior to joining Amazon, Lartease served as a senior advisor to U.S. Senator Kamala Harris and an advisor to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. Michael was previously co-chair of the Antitrust Law Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Michael frequently publishes on a range of legal and policy topics.

Bill Magrath is Assistant General Counsel for Privacy at Yahoo, where he focuses on Yahoo`s advertising platforms, Yahoo Mail, and Yahoo`s compliance with state privacy laws. Bill was a software engineer before law school and enjoys using his computer science background in his work as a privacy lawyer. Bill began his legal career as a transaction partner at Gibson Dunn and holds a master`s and bachelor`s degree in computer science from Stanford University and a juris doctorate from the N.Y.U.
